Тhe students who participate in Erasmus+ project I have a dream, gave an unusual lesson about tolerance to students and teachers in Specialized Language School. The activities were connected to the International Tolerance Day – 16th November. The winner in the essay contest “Tolerance – harmony within diversity” was also announced – Karolina Vasileva from 11b grade. Her prize is to participate in the project in the city Salihli, Turkey in April 2018.
Ms. Valentina Mihaylova and teachers and students from Joan Ekzarh Specialized Language School – Vratsa, working on the I Have a Dream project, visited Riga, Latvia from 8th to 14th October 2017. They took part in different art workshops and all participants visited Sigulda, located in the historic Vidzeme area. It was useful experience and good practice for all participants.
From 12th to 25th August, a group of students from Joan Ekzarh Specialized Language school took part in the 19th Summer Camp in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany. The theme of the camp was „Fair play, Fair life, Fair world.” The camp was also attended by students from Poland, Germany, France, Belarus, Israel and Ukraine. The students presented traditional folk dances, traditional Bulgarian food and the natural landmarks of our country. Students showed enviable skills in different competitions. Participants in the camp had the opportunity to touch a part of world history through the visit of the Sachsenhausen- Oranienburg a Nazi concentration campin Oranienburg. They also had the opportunity to explore Frankfurt, Berlin and Slubice, Poland
Teachers and students from Joan Ekzarh Specialized Language School – Vratsa, working on the I Have a Dream project, visited Barntrup, Germany from 2nd to 9th July 2017. they took part in different workshops on tolerance and shot educational videos. There were educational trips to Hamburg and Detmold. It was useful experience and good practice for all participants.
From 20th to 25th March, Joan Ekzarh Specialised Language School received its partners for the first mobility on the project. The students took part in a number of workshops and commemorated 21st March-the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, created a magazine with rhymes and cartoons about tolerance, interviewed people in town about their opinion on accepting differences and joined an art workshop organized together with the Community Centre for Children and Families. The partners admired the beautiful nature of Vratsa Balkan, Belogradchik Rocks and visited Vidin.
