We are Europe too: small town counterattack

eTwinning project – November 2017- May 2018

partners: France, Italy, Romania

Living in a small towns for today’s teenagers makes it hard for them to really feel European! What does it mean? In what ways is my small town European? What does it have to offer to tourists? A lot of times, when they think of European cities, they think of the capital of their country or the big cities. This project regroups teachers and their students from small towns in Europe (France, Italy, Romania and Bulgaria). The aim is to show our students that small towns are/can be as European as the big ones.

I HAVE A DREAM 2016-2018

Strategic partnership 2016-2018 Erasmus+

partners: Romania, Germany, Latvia and Turkey
description: Our project “I HAVE A DREAM” is a project open to innovation. It has been inspired by great achievements of people who fought for the rights and freedoms of citizens, especially Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King and Mevlana. We are going to present these famous thinkers as role models for the new generation. The aim of this project is to raise social awareness and teach youngsters that people shouldn`t be excluded because of race, color, gender, religion, political option.
When meeting people from different countries and learning about their culture, traditions and beliefs, students will understand that they can make the world a better place to live in by leaving prejudices behind and by being tolerant.

A pen-pal letter exchange

Students from 10v have been participating since November 2015 in the ‘A pen-pal letter exchange’ project  in which they correspond with students from 11th class in New York through the long forgotten, a handwritten letter on a piece of paper. With the help of Montana Rogers – teaching assistant from Fulbright program and Albena Tomova, an English teacher, students describe various aspects from their national culture and everyday occupations.

This helps students to improve their language skills, as well as, get to know their peers on the other side of the world.
